Reception for Current Philadelphia Exhibition at Haverford Friends Meeting
On Sunday, October 5, Haverford Friends Meeting welcomed Souls Shot Portrait Project’s current Philadelphia exhibition with a meaningful opening reception. Following their morning meeting for worship, congregants gathered in the Forum and Vaux rooms to view the portraits and reflect on the lives they honor.
Music therapist Molly Grace Hicks offered songs to aid in reflection and healing, creating a space for shared grief and hope. Dr. Meg Lytton, who played an instrumental role in bringing the exhibition to the meetinghouse, spoke about gun violence in the Philadelphia region and her experiences as a general practitioner.
Special thanks to Dr. Lytton for her partnership and care in helping make this exhibition possible.
The exhibition remains on view through October 25, with public hours on Sundays from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. or by appointment.
