Light and Shadow

Is it time yet, Zy?

Time to leave the shadow?

Some days are better than others

Some days I don't even cry

So maybe it is time

I'm scared though

The light is too bright, but I'm ready to step out of the shadow

Okay then take a step back

Listen

Place your hand on your chest, Yummy

Feel the warmth from your hand and the beat of your heart?

What does it say?

Stay or go where your heart leads you

I'll be there, shining

Evangeline Bragitikos, artist

Zykeem Ali Thomas

Zykeem was a great son, grandson, brother, uncle and friend. He had a heart of gold and went out of his way to help those he loved. He was everybody's favorite. He brought joy to everyone who encountered him. He was also a jokester but he was everybody's favorite. If he went to move, they all moved with him! He was an amazing artist and loved bright colors, which reflected his personality. Losing Zy left a huge hole in the hearts of his family.
