You must have known that
From the depths
You would emerge
Luminous

You must have known
That you have always been sister to Earth
Morning and Evening Star,
You must have known
That the sun, moon and stars were beckoning you home.

“If I Could Tell Her One More Thing”

Susan “Sue” (Mondrosch) Williams was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children with every breath and would proudly boast about them to everyone. Simply being in their presence was always the highlight of her day. She felt blessed beyond measure when grandchildren arrived and embraced every moment spent with them. They lovingly called her Nana. When she wasn't tending to family, she enjoyed spending time in her garden and took great pride in her home-grown vegetables. She also loved family trips, her cats, and planting beautiful flowers. Susan was a fiercely strong woman who persevered through many personal hardships. Throughout life's challenges she always demonstrated remarkable courage, strength, and resilience. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, thoughtful and loving nature, and devotion to her children. Susan was a truly special woman whose impact will be forever felt by the family and friends she leaves behind.

Tara Pentz, daughter

Note: Tara Pentz also worked with artists Patricia O’Halloran to create a portrait of her brother, John Paul Dicken, and Celeste Schor to create a portrait of her father, John Dicken. Both appear in the Philadelphia 9 collection.
